Gateway Computer Windows Operating System Install / Reinstall

If your Gateway Desktop PC running slow or Gateway Computer not starting up properly, hangs or freezes or Gateway Computer crash. You may need to consider an operating system re-installation.

Windows operating system repair issues can arise from variety of computer errors, usually originating from corrupt, missing registry files or drivers conflicts with other programs. The more you use your Gateway Computer, the greater the chance that some of the key windows files have become corrupt and unstable especially if you often Install and un-install software.

Sometime’s when your Gateway Computer is suffering from software related problems including malware/spyware and viruses, it cannot be fixed without the re-installation of the windows operating system. 

The Process:

We remove your hard drive and test it using special software

If at this stage we find a fault on your hard drive we will call you with a replacement cost

We then backup data if requested (£10 Extra)

We then erase your hard drive and reinstall the operating system using specialised equipment

We install some basic software, update all the drivers and apply Windows Updates

We then restore your data previously backed up and securely erase the backup from our system

We call to inform you that the job is complete

Please be aware that reinstalling the operating system removes everything on your hard drive and programs and other software cannot be backed up. Only Documents, Photos, Music and other non-program files can be backed up.

What is an operating system?

Your operating system is what everything on your Gateway Computer runs on. Without an operating system you wouldn't be able to do anything on your computer. Different Operating systems include Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, Windows 8 and windows 10.

What is a Windows re-install?

If you can't make it to our Repair Centre, we offer nationwide mail-in repair service for mobile phones, tablets, Apple Mac and PC's.

Firstly Order your repair online. Once your have proceeded through the checkout and made payment you will be automatically sent an order confirmation by email. This will contain your unique Order number.

Please print this out and include with your device in a box or padded envelope making sure it is properly protected. We recommend that you use Royal Mail’s Next Day Special Delivery service which is insured up to £500 and is fully trackable.

Once we receive the device we will start by inspecting the device, if the fault is as you described on the quote system (i.e if you selected a broken screen and this was correct), we'll repair and return your device as quickly as possible and keep you notified by email or text.

If the problem is more serious than expected we may need to contact you to advise you of a new price, and get your authority to continue. Once we have completed the repair we will return your device using Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery.
